CTMH November Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Hi and welcome to the Close to my Heart SOTM blog hop for November.  You may have found your way here from Carla's blog.  This month's SOTM is called Illuminate.

I have created a circle card featuring the Illuminate set and the Sarita Paper Packet.  I created the look of the light glowing by creating a mask of the area surrounding the light.  I used a sponge dauber and Goldrush ink to pounce ink inside the light area.

Holidays From the Heart Blog Hop

Hi and welcome the the Close to my Heart blog hop featuring new products in the Holidays from the Heart gift guide.  You may have found your way here from Katy's Blog.

My favorite things in the gift guide are the Sparkle & Shine Papers and Washi Tape.  I love all the fun things you can do with wash tape.  Here is a card featuring the papers:

Open the card and inside is baker's twine with flags made from the washi tape.  You can write on the tape using a sharpie marker.  The photo has the card open flat but it is really a fun card to display.

This next card is simply pieces of paper cut to form an interesting tree design.

This third and final card combines the paper with red shimmer trim and "Noel" cut from the Artiste cartridge.

Our September SOTM is a set of 2 large background stamps in a set called Poster Tidings.  I created a circle card using the autumn stamp to create a background and used the Huntington paper pack to finish the background.  I added burlap ribbon and distressed cardstock hearts to create a simple card.
