Hand Sewing Technique

Select a stamp to use as the stitching guide. Stamp the image on the wrong side of your paper/cardstock in a light ink.

Using a piercing tool and mat, pierce holes around the stamped image being careful to not have the holes to close together.
Using embroidery floss and a needle, start stitching from the wrong side of the paper. Use a small piece of tape to hold the floss end in place. This will add less bulk than tying a knot.

Use a running stitch through the pierced holes to create the finished stitched image.

TIP: It is much easier to stitch through cardstock than thin paper.
